This is Mark who built Gear&Glory and he started for 2 reasons:

1. I’m obsessed with NFL and NBA.

2. Buying a jersey online is often a complete lottery.

I’m Mark, and I'll throw it out there.... my teams are the Chicago Bears and the Orlando Magic, and I built Gear&Glory because the UK needed a proper US sports shop that’s authentic, straightforward, and doesn’t require a PhD in sizing charts.

Back in 2022 I was in Florida with the family and friends and we got tickets to watch Orlando Magic live… and yes.... I saw Paolo Banchero absolutely dominate, it was quality, but it also made one thing painfully obvious:

US sports culture is crazy big and the UK deserves better than “order it online and pray”.

The problem

  • One brand’s Large fits like a duvet (to be fair a duvet of NFL jerseys would be awesome)!

  • Another brand’s Large fits like it’s been vacuum-packed (that's not a pretty sight on me.. let me tell you!)

  • And you don’t find out until the parcel arrives and your confidence takes a beating!

Authenticity (because "close enough" is not the vibe)

If you’re buying teamwear, you want it to look right, feel right, and last, that's why authenticity matters because:

  • the quality is worlds apart
  • the details are spot-on (stitching, badges, finish)
  • you’re not paying proper money for something that turns up looking… creative

I’m picky on purpose, if I wouldn’t wear it myself, it doesn’t go on the rails or the website... it's that simple.
